Cabin Counselor
At Camp Highlander, we pride ourselves on our family culture environment. The foundation of our family culture is our cabin unit in which 10 campers and two cabin counselors journey through each day at Highlander as a unit. Our cabin counselors foster this family environment by genuinely loving our campers, making personal sacrifices for them daily & ensuring that each camper feels they belong to the Highlander family.
We are looking for selfless, understanding and energetic individuals who will be a role model for each camper in their cabin.
Senior Counselors: 18 years or older, having completed their Senior Year of High School.
Activity Counselor
Our Activity Counselors are uniquely trained, certified and/or educated staff members in a particular activity area or discipline who have a passion for teaching & working with children. They enjoy sharing their knowledge & skills with our campers while helping them grow and develop their skills. Our activity counselors must show the same unconditional love & acceptance to our campers while allowing them to discover more about who they are through the various programs at camp.
Activity Counselors: 18 years or older, having completed their freshman year of college.

OTHER POSITIONS
Store Associate
Every summer campers and staff want to bring home a piece of the mountain to remember their time at Highlander. The camp store provides our Highlander fans a way to pridefully represent camp all year long. Our store associate helps manage, operate and maintain the camp store. Campers and staff shop at the camp store throughout the day. This position is hourly and ideal for a local candidate who has basic computer knowledge. Opening and Closing Days are required. Typical hours during the week are 11 am - 6pm.
Media Intern
The media intern works closely with the director to write engaging and thoughtful content for our website, blogs and social platforms. Our media intern oversees our media platforms, creating content, and intentionally captures photos and videos for use during the off-season. Candidates must be innovative and skilled writers, knowledgeable of popular social media platforms and have a passion for children and the outdoors!
