The energy is electric on camp this session, and we have had an absolutely magical day! Many who have attended summer camp can speak to the magical feeling that you experience at camp. Maybe it’s being away from mom and dad and finding your independence as you navigate daily life on your own, or the welcoming feeling of belonging to a community who loves you just the way you are…the spirit of camp holds a unique feeling for our campers that is found nowhere else! Today, the magic of Highlander was shining from the eyes of every camper on camp.

I hope you’ve had a chance to scroll through today’s photos to capture this magic and fullness of joy in the eyes of your children today at Camp Highlander. While there are over 1100 photos total, these photos can’t tell the complete story of friendship, love and bonding that is happening within our cabins on camp today.

They show campers sliding down the zipline and paddling in a canoe, shooting arrows and firing rifles, volleying tennis balls and tetherballs, carving wood and making friendship bracelets. Cabins were diving at the pool, climbing the wall and baking in the camper kitchen. Some were meditating at yoga or dressing up at drama, while others were dribbling soccer balls or sinking baskets. Everywhere in camp today, the fun of summer was in full swing as we embraced every moment of this Magical Monday!
