After almost a week at camp, our campers and staff are starting to get a little tired and Sleep In Saturday is just what we all needed. Though we thrive on routine at Highlander, we intentionally build in schedule changes that make camp better. Simply sleeping 45 minutes later makes everyone happier because they are more rested and energized for the week ahead. Our tradition of sleeping in on Saturday is accompanied by yummy Dunkin Donuts for breakfast which brought big smiles to every face! And the icing on the donut today…no cabin inspection!! Donuts AND we don’t have to make our beds! Amazing!
Today was Camper’s Choice day, which also made everyone’s day better. Along with our traditional camp activities, there were quite a few new additions to Camper’s Choice today. The art department did a special Among Us event where campers spent time in different art activities creating Among Us themed crafts. We had fishing in Silver Lake, pool Zumba, disc golf, fairy hair, reading and letter writing and a new one “crisp dap ups,” which was super popular with boys camp. It was a super fun day of trying new things and making new friends at Camp Highlander. From food to fun, today was a REALLY great day at Camp Highlander!
