There is no better way to end a fun filled day at Camp Highlander than dressing up with your cabin mates and heading to the Evening Program! Camp Highlander’s Evening Programs are the culmination of planning, creativity, and performance by the Camp Highlander staff. Behind the scenes of our incredible EP’s this summer will be Riley Van Bibber and Jeff Keene. These two wacky and imaginative individuals are excited to take Evening Programming to new heights in the summer of 2022.

So, what’s new? What’s updated? And is Square Dance still on Tuesday? Well let’s start with the evening programs that have become tradition at Camp Highlander. Square Dance, Cabin Challenge, Talent Show, and Campfire will all be back for the summer of 2022! And of course, Saturday Nights are going to be legendary.

Nothing compares to the magic of seeing the Gillespie Gymnasium transform into a whole new world. This epic change happens every Saturday and the campers of each session will get to marvel at a different experience. In Kickoff Camp, campers will enter a world of pure imagination and experience Willy Wonka’s Chocolate factory! For our Session A campers, it’s time to grab your boots and straw hat and head to Country Fair! Come one, come all to Session B’s very own Monte Carlo Circus Festival! And finally, Session C is going to be groovy, because the Disco Dancino will be opening its doors to all of our campers.

Kick Off Camp will also include the chance for our campers and staff to show off their best dance moves at Dancing with the Activity Counselors. Campers will also need their best pirate attire, because we’ve heard there may be some hidden treasure on camp…

Our Session A Campers will get their own taste of the bayou as Mardi Gras comes to camp! Some candy, a parade, and a colorful mask are a must when Camp Highlander throws this kind of party!

At Camp, everyday feels like a holiday, and that’s why we decided that Session B is going to be full of them! Not only will we have the Fourth Of July, but also Halloween, St. Patrick’s Day, and Valentine’s Day.

Session C will give our Campers plenty of opportunities to display their talents! Film Fest is back for the summer of 2022 and it’s open to all entries: comedy, drama, documentary, music videos, and more! Camp will also be having a little thing called Color War with all the exciting evening events, including rope burning.
