Today was another beautiful, sunny, hot day on the mountain. It was camper’s choice day today, and we had so much fun playing, swimming, singing and dancing. Today was truly an almost perfect day. Here are a few highlights:
- Sleep In Saturday - Wake up late and enjoy Krispy Kreme Donuts
- Dancing in the dining hall at every meal. Music always makes the day happier, and we played music every meal today and everyone had a blast singing at the top of their lungs. I got goosebumps when Sweet Caroline came on and everyone sang the words. These are the moments that make camp so sweet.
- Perfect menu: Donuts for breakfast (eggs, bacon and fruit too). Pizza for lunch. Camp Highlander signature smoked BBQ for dinner with Mrs. Kaye’s famous mac & cheese and baked beans. YUMMY day in the dining hall!
- Awesome camper’s choice trips - bike ride in Dupont Forest, trips to a local horse show, nature hike looking for exotic plants and animals, yoga retreat in the woods and a painting hike. Amazing opportunities for amazing adventures!
- Perfect weather - Sunny all day. No thunder. No rain…such a gift!
- Amazing EP - Willy Wonka! Today is National Lollipop Day, so it is only fitting that we celebrate with lots of candy and lots of fun. Tonight our EP staff created our very own chocolate factory for our campers and staff to enjoy! CHeck out the video below.
