If a Tuesday comes and goes without a Square Dance, is it still a Tuesday? We don’t think so!
Yesterday was another wonderful day at Camp Highlander and, aside from a rogue, late-night thundershower, we enjoyed perfect summer weather! The very best way to end a Tuesday, that we know of, is with a Square Dance! With Big Mac at the helm calling the dance, everyone had a great time!
This morning, Melissa inspired everyone to take a fresh look at any “problem” they may be facing. Instead of avoiding it or worrying about it or getting frustrated with it (or even trying to solve it), the best thing to do is to think of the “problem” instead as an opportunity. An opportunity to conquer a fear, or to develop a skill, or to build courage or integrity or confidence or faith in your life. When you stop viewing your problems as problems, and instead view them as opportunities to grow and to improve, those very same problems cease to exist at all!
With that, it’s off to another hearty breakfast and then CAMPER CHOICE DAY! An entire day filled with each and every camper participating in the activities they love best! Whether they are just enjoying themselves during some of their favorite camp activities, or striving to attain a ‘Master of the Mills’ award, everyone loves camper choice day!
