The relationship between a father and a son is like no other. We all know that Dads protect and provide for their families, and teach their sons the life skills necessary to grow into honorable men. But life gets so busy, it’s sometimes hard to invest time into that vital relationship.
Camp Highlander is proud to partner with Dads for our annual Father-Son Weekend , coming up on May 16-18, 2014. Over the course of 3 days and 2 nights, Dads and sons will love great activities like riflery, archery, canoeing, zipline and climbing, but most of all will make unforgettable memories that last a lifetime.
The weekend features some camp traditions like the Wacky-Tacky Tie Contest, the Father-Son Challenge , a private Campfire Chat between dads and their sons and a “Manfood Feast.” Without even realizing it, Dads and sons will leave with a veritable toolbox of communication skills that will boost their relationship the whole year through.
Adding to this toolbox for Dads is this year’s featured speaker for the weekend. We are so excited to have Brian Biro , a World-Class speaker, author and the man known as “America’s Breakthrough Coach.” Having delivered over 1400 speeches worldwide, appeared on Good Morning America , CNN and FOX , Brian has been described as one of the nations foremost speakers and teachers on leadership, possibility thinking, thriving on change and team-building.
