Welcome, 2014! While time seems to be moving faster each year and bringing about so many changes, the one constant that remains is the magic on our mountain. The sweet smell of the air in the early morning; the cool, refreshing water in the Mills River and the recognizable sound of the bell have been staples at Camp Highlander for many decades. Tradition is at our core.
With the close of 2013, I can’t help but recall the wonderful memories from throughout the past year. Our mountain is home to many very special happenings: Father/Son weekend, two Family Camp weekends, three exciting summer camp sessions, Mother/Daughter weekend and various special camps, weddings and much more. I often catch myself smiling when I think about how many of you are part of our amazing Highlander family, and for that I am truly grateful.
As 2014 begins, I want to wish each and every one of you many blessings, and invite you all to experience the magic of Camp Highlander in 2014. Whether you’re experiencing camp for the very first time, are a returning camper or staff member or one of thousands of CH alumni, I invite you to join us on the mountain to discover – or re-discover – what you love the most about camp. Everyone who steps foot on our mountain has a different experience and leaves with unique memories to cherish for a lifetime.
