Today at Camp Highlander we celebrate the birthday of our country and the freedom that we all have in the wonderful country in which we live. On July 4, 1776, 56 delegates from the 13 colonies, in an act of great faith and tremendous courage, signed the Declaration of Independence mutually pledging “to each other our lives, our fortunes and our sacred honor.”
Today at Camp Highlander, we are challenged to honor our founding fathers, our leaders and our military heroes who sacrificed for the freedoms we have today. Today we are proud to be Americans.
